Medical Accompaniment
Seeking medical attention after a physical or sexual assault can be overwhelming and filled with unknowns. RCDVC advocates can offer support for survivors in these situations. Advocates can:
Explain what a SANE kit is, and how forensic evidence will be collected
Sit with you while you wait to talk to nurses and doctors
Help you make sure you have a safe place to go when discharged
Help you understand your victims’ rights and reporting options
